2nd Q&A, Session #2, Michigan Camp 2018

Recording from Michigan Camp 2018.

Questions:

  1. Per Luke 17:5-6, it seems as if faith is binary, that you either have it or not, and that it cannot be increased. Is this correct? If so, sometimes we reference a Christian or describe the OT saints in Hebrews 11 as having a lot of faith. How do these reconcile?
  2. On the Eternal Sonship of Christ:
    • What is the importance of the Eternal Sonship of Christ?
    • If the term is not found in scripture, what are some examples where the truth is clearly presented or inferred?
    • Is this a fundamental point of fellowship? If one does not believe it, is it right for us to have fellowship with him or her, and should they be received at the Lord’s Table?
  3. Is it okay to marry your second or third cousin?

6th Q&A, Session #6, Michigan Camp 2019

Recording from Michigan Camp 2019.

  1. Do you have any advice for young people as they may start to notice others of the opposite gender?
  2. In Proverbs 4, is it correct to say that when ‘she’ is being used, that it is talking about wisdom, understanding or something else?
  3. I have heard Christians say in reference to other Christians who have died, things like:

    • “she is in heaven now” or
    • “he has his new body” or
    • “he’s walking on streets of gold”.

There seems to be much misunderstanding as to what happens after death and before the rapture. What does scripture teach us on this subject?

3rd Q&A, Session #3, Michigan Camp 2018

Recording from Michigan Camp 2018.

Questions:

  1. What is the Biblical backing for addressing God as “Thee” and “Thou” in prayer? Are people wrong to address God as “You”?
  2. Why do the great men of the Bible tend to fail as fathers? Examples: Abraham (Genesis 25:1-5), Isaac (Genesis 25:24-28), Jacob (Genesis 34:16), Samuel, David, Solomon (1 Kings 12:16), Job (Job 1:1-2), Josiah (2 Kings 23:31-32)
  3. Should women wear headcoverings when singing?
  4. In John chapter 4 versus one and two, it says that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, but Jesus was not doing the baptizing. Rather, his disciples were. What was the reason Jesus was not personally baptizing people himself?
  5. I had always assumed that Jesus grew up normally like any child. But upon coming-of-age gained the wisdom and knowledge that he shared with the scribes at age 12. I recently talked with her brother who seem to think that he gained all his wisdom and knowledge through study like we must. I personally think that Jesus must have had God-given knowledge, or he would just become a very knowledgeable man like Darby or C.S. Lewis. What are your thoughts on this?

Questions:

  1. Was it wrong and lacking faith to send out the twelve spies?
